Reward-based training continues to be a focus for all of our classes no matter how old your dog may be. Pet and Competitive classes use rewards to engage the dogs and make training fun for everybody, dogs included! Our classes are designed to teach you and your dog how to work together, not force your dog to obey.
That said, we also realize that dog training isn’t just a cookie-cutter technique. It is important to know and understand all the tools for training your dogs, and knowing when to apply what to each situation. We realize all training tools: choke chains, head halters, pinch collars, electronic collars, regular collars, clickers, etc., have their place and may be called upon depending upon the situation. However, we always strive to find and use the technique that involves the smallest amount of force necessary and the easiest way for the dog involved to learn.
Partners Naturally is a professional member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers and strives to uphold in daily training practices the Code of Ethics set forth by the organization. (www.cappdt.ca).
Our number one goal in training is to give dog owners the information and education needed to understand their canine companions, so that they can work together to achieve their goals. We are striving to create a working partnership between owners and their dogs using a lot of patience, consistency, but most of all, understanding.

At Partners Naturally, our focus is to teach you how to work with your dog. We start all dogs with a non-force training method using positive reinforcements and rewards to teach your dog. This means that your dog will learn to think for himself and respond accordingly. This technique is called Clicker Training and is used to train all types of animals, not just canines. This no-force method means you can start training your dog as early as 8 weeks old (in private classes) without worrying about stressing your dog out. Puppies can learn all sorts of useful behaviors such as accepting handling (for grooming and veterinary care) and the basics of sit, down, stay, and walking politely on leash. And, because Partners Naturally comes to your home, there is no risk to your puppy’s immune system.
